INTRODUCTION

“ At my first sight of Benedict Wang’s paintings I was struck by their strength and by the vitality of movement.  For a moment or two the eye follows irresistibly the flow of their multiple linear and colouristic movement as fluid form slides to and from adjacent fluid form, and colour encounters and move away from colour.  Then comes a pause as the whole impact of each work resolves, settling into the totality of its movements and colours. The bones of the work coalesce as a single entity. ”
